INEOS and Wintershall Dea, a German energy company, are leading a consortium that is proving that Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a technical reality.

INEOS Inovyn, has announced the development and installation of  new world leading technology to electrify the production of vinyl chloride at the Rafnes site, making it possible to replace fossil energy with renewable electricity. This project will reduce CO2 emissions from the operations at Rafnes by up to 21,000 tonnes per year and leading to an elimination of the CO2 emission for the VCM cracking operations.

This is a big moment for Europe’s green transition, and for our clean tech industry.
