Accelerating the transition to a circular economy will require ambitious goals and substantial effort from all stakeholders and can only be possible if we work together. The World Plastics Council has a vital role to play in supporting this collaboration.

At Reliance, we are committed to support and lead industry on Circular Economy of Plastics. As such, Sustainability is quite close to our heart. It is with this commitment to mother Earth that we are a member of the World Plastic Council and together with our fellow WPC members, we aim to achieve Sustainable Development and a Resource Efficient future.

At SABIC, we believe that delivering on our ambition of a circular plastics economy is essential for a sustainable future for our business, our communities, and the planet, and this cannot be achieved without embracing innovation, risk, and most importantly collaboration. We are committed to our presence in the WPC, because it plays a critical role as the one global plastics organisation, providing a forum for collaboration, advocacy, and action to support our efforts.

Few challenges are more important than meeting the world’s growing demand for energy and products that support modern life, while reducing environmental impacts. The power of partnership is key to our success. We recognise the important part WPC plays in promoting increased collaboration and dialogue as we work toward innovative solutions for a lower-emission future.

Plastics producers have an important role to play in addressing issues of importance to our industry, including the critical issue of plastic waste in the environment. As an industry, we have actions already underway, but we recognise the need to move faster. The leadership position WPC has taken as the face of our industry’s advocacy for the Global Plastics Treaty is a great example of the instrumental role this organisation plays in helping to address this complex, global challenge. We are grateful for the opportunity provided by WPC to increase access to global leaders, collaborate with other members, and amplify our industry’s voice with key stakeholders on these important issues.
