OCS strives to continuously strengthen its impact through transparency, external verification, robust data reporting, and international collaboration.
Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) is a global programme, initiated in the United States by the Plastics Division of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and PLASTICS, and now active in multiple regions worldwide. As a priority initiative supported by the World Plastics Council, OCS has established the following goals to strengthen programme rigour and advance progress towards zero plastic resin loss. The goals reflect existing programme structures and baseline commitments as global implementation continues to expand.
1
100% of U.S. material supplier locations are OCS members by 2027.
2
100% of U.S. processors with more than 500 employees and 25% of U.S. processors with less than 500 employees are OCS members by 2029.
3
